Chourico Rangoon

INGREDIENTS

  • 4oz Mello’s Ground Chourico

  • 12 Wonton wrappers

  • 1 4.25oz can lump crab

  • 1 8oz package cream cheese, softened

  • ¼ cup green onion, diced

  • 1 tsp chili oil

  • 6 cups vegetable oil

  • Sweet chili sauce

  • Extra green onions, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, mix together crab, chourico, cream cheese, green onion, and chili oil until well combined.

  2. Spoon a teaspoon amount into the center of each wonton wrapper. Coat edges with water and fold to your liking, making sure filling is secured in center.

  3. Meanwhile heat oil to 375°F in a heavy bottom pot.

  4. Add wontons a few at a time until golden brown.

  5. Remove from pot and set on a paper towel-lined plate.

  6. Serve with sweet chili sauce and green onions.
